Thursday, January 6th, 2011ABOUT DAVID BOYAJIAN
“Working in a variety of scales and materials, I create sculptures that are three-dimensional riffs, driven by the power and beauty of nature”.
“My earlier sculpture is narrative and combines organic as well as figurative images”.
“Currently my forms are simplified volumetric abstractions, always celebrating renewal”.
“Public Art must have a clear relationship to its environment and community of peoples. It should be accessible and evoke a sense of reason”.
“If the art is to communicate, it must entice and motivate those who live and work among it to ask questions and in doing so spark their imagination”.
“Public art is for the people… its intent should be inspiring.”
